Foregene was established in April 2011, focused on the development of innovative molecular biology technology and molecular diagnostic products.Foregene Co., Ltd. was founded by well-known scholars who returned after studying at Yale University, famous inventors and senior industry professionals. Foregene's R&D team consists of 40 people(mainly phD and master), has 2500 m2 office building, 600 m2 P2 laboratory, and 1200 m2 GMP production workshop.
Foregene research and development technicians account for more than 40%, with study and work experience in Harvard, Yale and other overseas universities, and the team has 1 academician of the American Academy of Sciences, 2 experts of Sichuan Thousand Talents Plan and 3 experts of Chengdu Talent Plan. At present, it has four independent research and development technology platforms: Direct PCR technology platform, DNA-only/RNA-only silicone membrane technology platform, enzyme protein transformation and purification technology platform, nucleic acid probe micro-detection technology platform, relying on the above key technology platforms, the company has completed more than 50 biological scientific research related products, more than 20 in vitro diagnostic products, and nearly 10 biomedical products.
Foregene's product line includes RNA purification series, DNA purification series, RT/RT-PCR series, direct PCR series, PCR Mix series, direct RT-QPCR series and "Fusi" series molecular science related instruments. Products have been widely used in life science, medicine, agriculture, pharmaceutical, environmental and other fields of basic research. Customers all over the university, research institute, hospital and other units.
Foregene's IVD products include Sars-cov-2 nucleic acid detection kits, 15 respiratory system pathogenic bacteria detection kits, rapid detection system for drug-resistant bacteria in hospitals, etc. More nucleic acid in vitro diagnostic kits based on Direct PCR platform have also been tested.
In the biopharmaceutical field, Foregene has innovated and developed high-throughput screening schemes for small nucleic acid drug candidate molecules, and direct PCR solutions for cell therapy and gene editing cells, playing a key role in improving the development efficiency in the biopharmaceutical field.
